Titas Taco House
About This Spot
Stepping into Titas Taco House feels like wandering into a beloved community hub where warmth rises from every colorful corner and the scent of fresh tortillas drifts gently through the air. Nestled in a bright blue house on Wilson Road, this spot hums with an easygoing vibe—part neighborhood gathering place, part morning ritual sanctuary. It’s the kind of place where time slows just enough to savor the simple joy of a perfectly made taco and a shared smile.
The pace here is relaxed yet purposeful, with a morning crowd that flows in quietly but confidently, drawn by the irresistible promise of breakfast tacos that blend heartfelt tradition with bold, fresh flavors. Behind the counters, the cooks move with practiced care, flipping and folding ingredients like pieces of a small delicious puzzle—whether it’s barbacoa melting delicately, chorizo sizzling with just the right spice, or homemade tortillas toasted with a tender crackle. The bright, intricate murals that decorate the walls give the space an inspiring, lived-in feel, palpable proof of the passion that pulses through this little taco haven.
Each visit invites something genuine: the friendly nod from staff who know names, a moment of connection over spilled salsa or the sharing of a favorite taco, and the quiet contentment that settles in as you pull up a chair—no matter the hour. It’s not just food here; it’s a rhythm of human moments and tastes that hold you for a while longer, making Titas feel like much more than just a stop for a meal. Whether it’s the daily grind or a casual weekend treat, this is a place where the love of authentic Mexican flavors is easy to taste, and even easier to feel.

The owner and staff bent over backwards to accommodate me! I got there at 1:50 (just before close) and they graciously made several tacos (though the grill was already turned off) and provided room to sit (though they were cleaning up and had already put chairs on tables). The tacos were excellent and the conversation was even better! A huge thank you and massive recommendation for those looking for excellent, inexpensive tacos!!

In my personal opinion, this is the best Taco House in Houston. There are some others that definitely serve amazing tacos but the overall environment and friendliness of Titas takes it over the top. When you walk up to the big Blue house and into the front door you are immediately blown away by the amazing art painted on literally every surface of the interior. The line is usually 15+ people deep but it moves quick thanks to the amazing staff behind the serving counter. You’ll hear people converting over their tacos, spatulas tinging on the flat top and voices galore telling the staff what they want on today’s tacos. The owner and his family run Titas with the upmost personal family friendly professional personalities you’ll ever come across. It’s truly a must see Houston treasure nestled near the beautiful town of Old Humble. I’m a daily visitor due to the always changing variety of tacos that never disappoint!

I forgot the golden rule get there EARLY . EVERTHING is fresh and when it's gone it's gone ( I missed out on my fav Carne Asada ) but I still had plenty of other options But you can't blame anyone but yourself if you miss out The homemade tortilla they even have a special bell to inform them that you want corn tortillas that way they can start making them ( flour is pretty popular ) the generous portions and the price point. A must stop

FYI …. They are closed from December 24th 2025 through January 1st, 2026. Im from KY was going to load up on tortillas to take back Drove from downtown Houston and they re closed. Thought would post hope people would see they are closed. Google Maps shows they are open and they are not. It is they need a vacation too as they work so hard. Happy Holidays Titas to all the employees you are awesome.

Really enjoyed the food here barbacoa and chorizo are delicious. Tortillas are handmade and not from a store. The atmosphere is friendly and the let you eat before paying. They welcome you like family and are patient while you make your selections. Price is great too!!

I love a great Taco spot! Anytime I head back home to visit family from Houston to Galveston.. I have to get my taco fix. At Titas - All tortillas are made fresh.. Flour & corn.. You ring the bell and hold up your hand, showing how many fresh corn tortillas you want, they make them while you wait in line.. They have them ready by the time you order your tacos.. Then you pay in the Honor System when you leave..
